What This Code Means
The main control board and the user-interface board have lost communication. This can cause the display to go blank, temperatures to drift, or features like ice and water to stop working.
Common Causes
- Ribbon cable between the two boards is loose or damaged
- Power surge damaged one of the boards
- Failed main control board or UI board

- Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes and plug back in — power cycles can clear transient communication errors.
